George Winters

Services for George Winters will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Dillon-Chisley Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation is from 11 a.m. Tuesday until the hour of service.

George Winters died Wednesday, March 30, 2005, at River Region Medical Center. He was 90.

Mr. Winters was retired from the Mississippi Valley Gas Company.

He was preceded in death by his stepson, Clarence Nelson Jr.

Survivors include his wife, Freddie Winters of Vicksburg; one daughter, Cynthia Nelson of Vicksburg; two stepdaughters, Georgia Nelson and Mary Nelson Truitt, both of Vicksburg; 10 grandchildren; and other relatives, including Sharon Simmons and Clarence Lovett of Vicksburg.

Dillon-Chisley Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

Ardelia Patterson

Ardelia Patterson died Sunday, April 3, 2005, at her home in Vicksburg. She was 79.

Mrs. Patterson was a lifelong resident of Vicksburg. She was a retired domestic and a member of Kingdom Hall Jehovah Witness.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roosevelt Patterson; one son, James Davis; and two brothers, Louis Johnson and Willie Carter.

Survivors include three sons, Louis Davis Jr. and Leon Davis, both of Edwards, and Eddie Davis of Port Gibson; three daughters, Thelma Irving and Willie Mae McCroy, both of Vicksburg, and Leretha Ann Davis of Los Angeles; one brother, Eddie Johnson of Vicksburg; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren, other relatives including Jorena Moore of Edwards.

Dillon-Chisley Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
