Charlotte Morgan

BARTLETT, Tenn. Charlotte Morgan died Friday, Jan. 7, 2005, at her home in Bartlett, Tenn. She was 56.

Miss Morgan was a member of Cherokee Baptist Church and a retired librarian for the Olive Branch High School.

She is survived by three brothers, R.E. Morgan of Vicksburg, Julian Morgan of Memphis and Sam Morgan of Arlington, Tenn.; four sisters, Rosanne Harmon of Vardaman, Miss., Carolyn Mobley of Paris, Tenn., Elizabeth Browning of Canton, Ga., and Jane Hayes of Memphis, Tenn., and other relatives including her caregiver, Linda Plummer.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at the Family Funeral Care Chapel. Burial will follow at Memphis Memorial Gardens.

Irene Foster Summers

Services for Irene Foster Summers will be at noon Monday at Christian Home M.B. Church No. 2 on Lee Road. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1 until 6 p.m. today at Dillon-Chisley Funeral Home home and from 11 a.m. until the hour of the service Monday at the church.

Mrs. Summers died Saturday, Jan. 1, 2005, at Vicksburg Convalescent Home. She was 99.

She was a member and mother at St. Luke Freewill Baptist Church. She was a member of Rose of Sharon Chapter No. 24 Order of Eastern Star.

She was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Riley Summers Sr.; her parents, Thomas E. and Melvina Foster; six brothers, Herman Foster, Sylvester Foster, John Foster, William Foster, Charlie Foster and the Rev. Harry Foster; and two sisters, Agnes Passmore and Mary Mitchell.

She is survived by her niece and caregiver, Betty Foster Pendleton of Vicksburg; a stepson, Riley Summers Jr. of Vicksburg; and other relatives, including Frankie Foster, Ruben Foster, Doris Foster all of Vicksburg, and members of the Foster, Summers, Davis Jackson and Peyton families.
