Rosie A. Scott died Friday, Oct. 20, 2006 at her home. She was 80.
Mrs. Scott was head cook at the Heritage Retirement Home for more than 20 years and a member of Shiloh M.B. Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Julius Scott.
Survivors include eight daughters, Dyanna Jenkins, Mary A. Turpin, Janett S. Rainey and Jacqueline Sanders, all of Vicksburg, Gloria J. Fletcher of Lake Providence, La., Mildred Walker of New Hebron, Miss., Rose M. Taylor of Houston and Donna M. Pollard of Jackson; three sons, Edward E. Edwards of Clinton, Miss., James O. Scott of Vicksburg and Michael W. Scott of Las Vegas; a stepdaugher, Hazel Sanders; a goddaughter, Stephanie D. Scott; five sisters, Janie Marshall, Alice Dawson, Ada Hadley, Anna McGee, Bonnie Tyler; three brothers, John Gray Jr., Washington “Candyman” McGee, Wiley McGee; 54 grandchildren, 70 great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and other friends and relatives.
Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
