A memorial service for Willie &#8220Chillie Willie” Burden Jr. will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home with Dr. Ollie Hardaway officiating.

Mr. Burden died Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2006, at River Region Medical Center. He was 53.

He was a former carpenter. He was a member of Faith Christian Center.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Sr. and Otha Lee Turner Burden; his maternal grandparents, Virginia and Otha Turner; and his paternal grandparents, Rosie Lee &#8220Buck” Paige and McKinley Burden.

Survivors include six sisters, Angelakay Burden and Mary Gomez, both of Atlanta, Barbara J. White of Vicksburg, Patricia Evans of Greenville, Jessie Mae Wade of Cruger and Susie Mae Wade of Chicago; his stepmother, Ethel Burden of Vicksburg; and nieces and nephews.

Willie Mae Ferguson.

Services for Willie Mae Ferguson will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Zion Travelers M.B. Church with the Rev. Alfred Lassiter officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. Saturday at W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home.

Ms. Ferguson died Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2006, at River Region Medical Center in Vicksburg. She was 79.

A retired Head Start teacher, Ms. Ferguson was a member of Zion Travelers M.B. Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John Ferguson and Willie Ann Jackson-Ferguson; four brothers, John Earl Ferguson, Elmer Lee Ferguson, Lee Arthur Ferguson and Clarence Ferguson; and four sisters, Mary Elizabeth Ferguson, Cleo Ferguson Williams, Lucy F. Romes-Barber and Ruthie Lee Ferguson-Woods.

Survivors include two sons, John J. Ferguson of Vicksburg and Albert Ferguson of Hawthorne, Calif.; and one sister, Marie Ferguson of Long Island, N.Y.

Jessie Mae Johnson.

Jessie Mae Johnson died Wednesday, March 1, 2006, at River Region Medical Center. She was 42.

Mrs. Johnson was a member of Locust Grove M.B. Church.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Johnnie Mae Johnson; and a sister, Mizella Cook.

She is survived by five brothers, John L. Nickson, Allen Price, Norman Price, Roy Nickson and Jerome Nickson, all of Vicksburg; one sister, JoAnn Reese of Detroit; and nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives, including the Young and Johnson families of Vicksburg.

W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

Emma W. Savage.

Services for Emma W. Savage will be at noon Saturday at W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home with the Rev. Charlie Blackmore officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the funeral home Saturday from 11 a.m. until the service.

Mrs. Savage died Monday, Feb. 27, 2006, at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, Ill. She was 98.

Mrs. Savage was born in Warren County to Frank and Clara Wells Williams. A homemaker, she was a graduate of The Baptist Academy.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Savage Jr.; a daughter, Rosie Lee Savage-Chatman; a grandson, Albert Horne III; and two brothers and four sisters.

She is survived by a brother, the Rev. Alfred Williams of Chicago; one daughter, Margaret M. Horne of Chicago; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Kimbra Rone Singleton.

Kimbra Rone Singleton died Wednesday, March 1, 2006, at University Medical Center in Jackson. She was 29.

Survivors include her parents, James Carter of Fairbanks, Alaska, and Susie Rone of Vicksburg.

Williams Funeral Service has charge of arrangements.

Joseph Lee Williams.

Joseph Lee &#8220Joe Joe” Williams died Wednesday, March 1, 2006. He was 50.

Mr. Williams served in the U.S. Army for 20 years. He attended Warren County Schools.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Jackson Sr. and Mable Lee Williams Linson; and one sister, Rose Marie Williams Davis.

Survivors include seven sisters, Sherry Ann Williams, Mary C. Jackson Burns, Johnnie Jackson, Gwendolyn Williams, Theodora L. Williams, Hazel D. Williams Tubwell and Shavaughn Allen; three brothers, Willie Jackson Jr., Robert Jackson and Thomas Patrick &#8220T.P.” Jackson; and nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives, including the Vaughn, Jackson, Owens and Rogers families.
