A trio of Vicksburg Gator baseball players helped lead a Jackson elite team to a World Series championship.

Best offensive player Jordan Henry hit .476, while Steven and Stanton Price both pitched in the championship game as the Jackson 96ers defeated the Bayside (N.Y.) Yankees 5-4 in 9 innings to win the National Amateur Baseball Federation championship.

Hinds Community College signee Steven Price pitched four innings before being relieved by Stanton, a rising junior at Vicksburg High. Stanton Price tossed the final five innings, allowed one run on three hits to earn the victory.

Henry, an Ole Miss signee, went 10-for-21 in the tournament to earn best offensive player honors. He and Stanton Price earned all-tournament team honors.
