TALLULAH – Rita Kipp Goode died Friday, July 14, 2006, at River Region Medical Center. She was 66.

Mrs. Goode was born in North Dakota. She had worked as an accountant and paramedic. She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Goode was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Viola Kipp; and a son, Bobby Richardson.

She is survived by her husband, Michael Goode of Tallulah; one daughter, Teresa Lee of Tallulah; one son, Michael Carrigan of Jackson, Tenn.; and four grandchildren.

A private service will be at a later date under the direction of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home.

John Anderson Thomason III.

John Anderson Thomason III died Saturday, July 22, 2006, as a result of a car accident. He was 48.

A native of Vicksburg, Mr. Thomason was born to the late John A. Jr. and Doris Lawhon Thomason. A 1976 graduate of Vicksburg High School, he attended Hinds Community College. In 1979, he graduated from Commonwealth College of Mortuary Sciences in Houston, Texas.

Since 1995, he worked as managing funeral director for Frank J. Fisher Funeral Home. For the past six years, he worked as a coroner for Warren County. He was a member of the National Board of Selected Morticians.

He was of the Episcopalian faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, John A. Sr. and Mary Alice Smith Thomason and Franklin P. and Cliffie Mae Birmingham Lawhon.

He is survived by his wife, LaDonna Allison Thomason of Vicksburg; a son, John A. Thomason IV of Vicksburg; a daughter, Shannon Thomason Emerson and husband, John Carl, of Vicksburg; a granddaughter, Morgan R. Emerson of Vicksburg; three sisters, Renna Anne Thomason and life partner, Jan, of Little Rock, Ark., Doris T. Jones and husband, Scott, of Houston, and twin sister, Jean T. Johnston and husband, Ronnie, of Vicksburg; nieces and other relatives.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Fisher Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. Tuesday until the hour of service at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Sheriff’s Boys and Girls Ranch.

Roberta Robinson Wright.

Services for Roberta &#8220Bert” Robinson Wright will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Williams Funeral Service. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon until 6 tonight at the funeral home.

Mrs. Wright died Monday, July 17, 2006, at her daughter’s home in Victorville, Calif. She was 84.

She was born in Utica and lived in Vicksburg most of her adult life. A homemaker, she was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Shelby Wright; a son, Judge Wright; two daughters, Barbara Wright and Shappy Wright; a sister, Lizzy Sweet Gilmore; a brother, Robert &#8220Bob” Robinson; and a grandson, Charles Wright.

Survivors include three daughters, Rose Wright of Aurora, Ill., Rochella Lewis of Victorville and Roberta Linda Polk of Vicksburg; a brother, Johnny Stevenson of Pontiac, Mich.; 13 grandchildren; and nieces, nephews and other relatives, including members of the Brooks, Brown, Edwards and Younger families.

Williams Funeral Service has charge of arrangements.
