Vicksburg trailed 2-1 in the last inning, when Mario Doyle hit a two-out double and tried to score on a Drake Dorbeck hit, but was gunned down at home on a bang-bang play.

To get to the game against Bay St. Louis, the Patriots used a big fourth inning to put Sylvan Hill away. Doyle went 2-for-4 with four RBIs, including a three-RBI triple, and Brock Barnes belted a two-RBI double.

Dorbeck pitched 4 1/3 innings for the win, and Dolan pitched 2/3 of an inning for a save.
