Jessie Mae Collins.

PATTISON – Jessie Mae Collins died Sunday, July 2, 2006, in Hazlehurst. She was 91.

Mrs. Collins was a former member of Little Zion Methodist Church. She was a member and mother of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church.

She was a member of the Eastern Star.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Eddie and Emma Copeland; her husbands, John A. Booker and Boregard Collins; one daughter, Josie L. Booker; two sons, Lenora Booker and Clyde Booker; two brothers, Lee Copeland and Eddie Copeland Jr.; and four grandchildren.

Survivors include two sons, B.C. Collins and Matthew Collins, both of Pattison; three daughters, Joanna Jones of Hazlehurst, Willie Mae Woods of Chicago and Josephine Moore of Pattison; one sister, Fannie M. Kelly of Fayette; 35 grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Services will be at noon Saturday at St. Peter M.B. Church in Pattison with the Rev. Troy Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Hawkins Cemetery in Barlow.

Visitation will be from 1 until 6 today at Thompson Funeral Home in Port Gibson and Saturday at the church from 11 a.m. until the service.

James Donald Erwin.

PORT GIBSON – James Donald Erwin died Wednesday, July 5, 2006, at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. He was 53.

Mr. Erwin was a millwright for U.S. Rubber. Born in Union Church to Henry and Helen Scott Erwin, he was a resident of Port Gibson. He was a member of St. James Episcopal Church.

He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Marie Nevels Erwin; three daughters, Gail Ford, Evelyn Collins and Donna Smith; two sisters, Alice Pearl Erwin and Hattie Vines; three brothers, Robert Richardson, John Erwin and John Hertz; and five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. James Episcopal Church in Port Gibson. Burial will follow at Union Church Cemetery under the direction of Mark Seepe Funeral Directors.

Visitation will be at the church from 1 p.m. Saturday until the service.

George Lacey.

Services for George Lacey will be at 11 a.m. Sunday at Calvary M.B. Church with the Rev. F.W. Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at Weddington Family Cemtery in Lorman. Visitation will be from noon Saturday until 4 p.m. at Williams Funeral Service.

Mr. Lacey died Saturday, July 1, 2006, at his home. He was 85.

Mr. Lacey was a member of Calvary M.B. Church. He was retired from Union Compress and P.P. Williams as a heavy-equipment operator.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Helen Blackmon and Paul Lacey; a daughter, Rosemary Redfield; a son, George Lacey Jr.; two brothers, Frank Collier and Louis Tyler; and two sisters, Natalie Warner and Ella Mae Myles.

Survivors include his wife, Willie Pearl Lacey of Vicksburg; two daughters, Deloris Lacey and Diane Lacey Green, both of Vicksburg; and grandchildren.

Janice Denise Hatcher Mitchell.

Janice Denise Hatcher Mitchell died Monday, July 3, 2006. She was 48.

Mrs. Mitchell was a native of Vicksburg and resident of Jackson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Juanita and Bennie Hatcher; a brother, Austin Eugene &#8220Buddy” Hatcher; her paternal grandparents, Roxie and Roy Hatcher; and grandmother, Ethel Barnette.

She is survived by a son, Michael Dane Mitchell of Vicksburg; two brothers, Roy L. Hatcher of Portland, Ore., and James D. &#8220Jack” Hatcher and wife, Janet M. Hatcher, of Zachary, La.; four nephews, Daniel Hatcher of Florida, Denton Hatcher of Baton Rouge, La., Kevin Hatcher of Donaldsonville, La., and Gene Hatcher of Texas; two nieces, Amanda Hatcher of Texas and Michelle Hatcher of Virginia; two great-nephews, Bradley R. Hatcher and Brady J. Hatcher, both of Baton Rouge, La.; and a great-niece, Payton M. Hatcher of Donaldsonville, La.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Glenwood Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Brumfield of Immanuel Baptist Church officiating.

Tanner Harrison Lee Page.

Services for Tanner Harrison Lee Page, infant son of Jason &#8220Bug” Page and Johnalin Hicks Page, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Redbone Cemetery with the Rev. Mark Rowlen officiating. Visitation will be at 1 p.m. Saturday until the hour of service at Fisher Funeral Home.

Infant Page died Wednesday, June 28, 2006, at River Region Medical Center.

He was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandfather, Coy Harrison Hicks; paternal great-grandfathers, Sylvester Howell and George McCoy; and paternal great-grandparents, James and Ellie Page.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by a brother, Dakota David Lee Page of Kosciusko; maternal grandparents, John Hicks and Maxine Hicks of Vicksburg; paternal grandparents, Frank and Lisa Page of Yazoo City and James and Debra Hartley of Vicksburg; maternal great-grandparents are Elma Hicks of Vicksburg and Max H. Watson and Merle Watson of Cary; and paternal great-grandparent, Claudine McCoy of Vicksburg.

Webster Dudley Tanksley Jr.

BLUE HILL – Services for Webster Dudley Tanksley Jr. were Saturday, July 1, 2006, at Unity Baptist Church in Jefferson County with the Rev. Perry Tanksley officiating. Burial followed at the church cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home in Natchez.

Mr. Tanksley died June 28, 2006, at Mississippi State Veteran’s Home in Jackson. He was 73.

Born in Union Church, Mr. Tanksley served in the U.S. Air Force and retired from National Home Plastics.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Webster Dudley Tanksley Jr. and Jewel Saxon Tanksley O’Hern; his wife, Marie Tanksley; and a brother, Larry Tanksley.

He is survived by a son, James Bradley Tanksley of Fairfield, Texas; two sisters, Olivia Ann Clark of Fayette and Karyn Irons of Port Gibson; and other relatives, including Dorothy Saxon Saul and Dottie Tanksley.

Pallbearers were Roy Bishop, Catlin Carithers, Edward Clark, David Clark, David Bishop, Josie Carithers, Lee, Harper and Keith Tanksley. Honorary Pallbearers were Scott Brown, Tommy Lutz, James Nevels, Mike Shannon, Duncan Segrest, William Smith, Doug Tanksley and Kenneth Tanksley.
