TALLULAH – Thelma Lipscomb Bryant died Saturday, July 15, 2006, at her home. She was 65.

Mrs. Bryant was born in Waverly, La., and lived in Madison Parish most of her life. She was a retired school bus driver for Madison Parish Schools and a member of Warsaw Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Evron E. Bryant of Tallulah; her mother, Laverne Carter of Point, La.; two daughters Annette Bryant and Connie L. Bryant, both of Tallulah; a son, Bruce W. Bryant of Winnsboro; three sisters, Judy McClain of South Carolina, Lou Ella Taylor of Point and Olla Belle Watson of Tallulah; two brothers, Edward Carter of Eros, La., and Ronald Carter of West Monroe; four grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday at the chapel of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home with Brother Dennis Fontenot officiating. Burial will follow in Silver Cross Cemetery in Tallulah.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Gene Lord, Eric Lord, Brandon Bryant, John Roberson, Isaac Lipscomb, Danny Ray Watson and Shane Carter.

Wilma Tice Mangum.

Wilma Tice Mangum died Saturday, July 15, 2006, at River Region Medical Center. She was 85.

Mrs. Mangum was born in Hope, Ark., and lived in Vicksburg for 60 years. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Church of Nazarene.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Cleo Mangum, and a daughter, Louise Mangum.

Survivors include two daughters, Mary Frances Wheat of Gonzales, La., and Lorene Jones of Brandon; three sons, John Mangum of Choctaw, Okla., Jim Mangum of Nesbit, Miss., and Bill Mangum of Vicksburg; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Glenwood Funeral Home with Rev. Kuhrman Cox officiating. Burial will follow at Green Acres Memorial Park.

Visitation will be from 2 until 5 this afternoon at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Mitch Alexander, Roger Fillebaum, John Ashley, Rex Smithey, Ken Zingery and Pete Warnock.

Honorary pallbearers will be Todd Howard, Fred McCain, Robert Cunningham and Dr. D.F. Gunter.
