Willis leads Lady Vikes to 12th victory of season; Vikings wallop Falcons|[1/7/06]

Brittany Willis continued her torrid shooting by scoring a game-high 21 points, including four of the team’s five 3-pointers, in a 53-46 victory over Velma Jackson on Friday.
Freshman Sha’Kayla Caples scored 12 points and fellow freshman Karnina Bunch added seven points.
Jennifer Wair, a 6-footer who played in the North-South All-Star game last year, scored 20 points in the loss.
“I thought we did a good job defensively,” said WC coach Donny Fuller, whose team held Velma Jackson to eight points in each of the first three quarters.
Warren Central led 27-16 at the half.
The Lady Vikes (12-4) are scheduled to play again on Tuesday against third-ranked Clinton.

Rashaan Walker scored a game-high 24 points, leading four Warren Central players in double figures, as the Vikings routed Velma Jackson.
Mario Luckett added 16 points for WC (9-5), while Andre Thomas and Andy Anderton has 12 apiece. Richard Plummer scored 14 points for Velma Jackson, and Richard Edwards had 11.
Warren Central blew the game open in the second quarter. After taking a 17-11 lead after one period, the Vikings outscored the Falcons 24-11 in the second to open a 19-point lead at halftime. Warren Central then iced the game with a 28-point third quarter.
