Catherine Nan Ball.

FAYETTE – Catherine &#8220Kay” Nan Ball died Saturday, Sept. 2, 2006, at River Region Medical Center. She was 70.

Ms. Ball was born in Fayette and graduated from Fayette High School and the University of Mississippi, where she was a Chi Omega. Ms. Ball lived in Washington, D.C., several years before moving to Melton Plantation in Lorman, where she lived until her death.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Imer Warren Ball and Mary Noble.

Survivors include a brother, Warren &#8220Bo” Ball of New Orleans; and nieces nephews, grreat-nieces and great-nephews.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Spencer Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Fayette Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Warren Ball, Baylor Banks, Franklin Williams, Steve Wyman, Ed Morgan, Scott Ellis, Jim Merrill and Buddy Thrasher.
