LORMAN – Bettie Dell Lynch died Saturday, March 11, 2006, at her home in Lorman. She was 52.

Mrs. Lynch was born in Claiborne County to Wiley and Lethia Mae Davis Lynch. She was a member of China Grove M.B. Church.

She is survived by two sons, Percy Lynch of Vicksburg and Cedric Lynch of Port Gibson; one daughter, Mercedes Lynch of Lorman; five brothers, George Lynch of Hazlehurst, Samuel Lynch of Port Gibson, Wendell Lynch of Vicksburg, Willie L. Lynch of Texas and Eddie Shannon of New Orleans; three sisters, Alma Doris McGill and Darlene Lynch Jones, both of Port Gibson, and Hazel Bechman of Sacramento, Calif.; seven grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Morning Star M.B. Church in Port Gibson with the Rev. Larry Clark officiating. Burial will follow at Springhill Cemetery.

Visitation will be from noon until 5 p.m. Wednesday at Rollins Funeral Home in Port Gibson.

Eula Dell Philley.

OAK GROVE – Services for Eula &#8220Nippyā€¯ Dell Philley were at 10 this morning at Cox Funeral Home Chapel in Oak Grove with the Rev. Bill Bearden officiating. Burial followed at Oak Grove Cemetery.

Mrs. Philley died Sunday, March 12, 2006, at her home in Oak Grove, La. She was 68.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Captain McDaniel and Evelyn Cecilia McDaniel; and one brother, Billy McDaniel.

Survivors include her husband, John Philley of Oak Grove; four daughters, C.C. Robian of Rocky Branch and Cherry Rye, Johnese Harrell and Mary Neal, all of Oak Grove; one son, Sam Philley of Oak Grove; one sister, Dubbie Spangler of Monroe; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were James Edwin Philley, Matt Philley, Mike McDaniel, Ronnie McDaniel, Josh Huff and Mitchell Putman.

Richard Troy Pugh.

YAZOO CITY – Richard Troy Pugh died Sunday, March 12, 2006, at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Jackson. He was 63.

A retired salesman, Mr. Pugh served in the Mississippi Army National Guard for nine years. He was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Pugh and Lois Riley.

Survivors include three sons, David Pugh of Vicksburg, Richard Dwain Pugh of Yazoo City and Greg Pugh of Kosciusko; four sisters, Jean Weeks and Marie Taggart, both of Jackson, Helen Stratton of Greenville and Stephanie Hayes of Arizona; two brothers, James Pugh of Riverside, Calif., and Joe Pugh of Diamondhead; and 11 grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Stricklin-King Funeral Home in Yazoo City with the Rev. Brian Ivey officiating.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the hour of service Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Red Cross’ Hurricane Katrina Relief Fund.
