Raymond Bolton.

Services for Raymond Bolton will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Travelers Rest M.B. Church with the Rev. James Sheard officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 until 7 tonight at W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home.

Mr. Bolton died Saturday, Oct. 28, 2006, at River Region Medical Center. He was 92.

Mr. Bolton was retired from Jitney-Jungle Food Stores and attended Travelers Rest Missionary Baptist Church. He was a World War II veteran and member of American Legion Tyner-Ford Post 213.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin and Bertha Spencer Bolton; his wife, Laura Brown Bolton; his son, Raymond Bolton Jr.; his daughter, Vivian Bolton; two brothers, Albert Barnes and Jimmy Spencer; and a sister, Vasti Henderson.

Survivors include three daughters, Eunice Bolton Brayboy of Dallas, Gloria Bolton Evans of Huntsville, Ala., and Joyce Bolton Jones of Vicksburg; a brother, Henry Spencer of Vicksburg; and 12 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren, and other relatives, including Esther Franklin and Tommie Boyd Bolton.

Edwin Arnold Lumbley Sr.

Edwin Arnold Lumbley Sr. died Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2006, at the University Medical Center. He was 84.

Mr. Lumbley was a lifelong resident of Vicksburg. He was the son of the late John Hugh and Elizabeth Richardson Lumbley. He was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy. He was employed with the Civil Conservation Corporation. He was a retired roofer, carpenter and sheet metal fabricator.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Carrolyn Faye Thomas; a brother; Rufus Erma Lumbley; and three sisters, Bertha Briggs, Ora Lewis and Ruth Flowers.

He is survived by his wife, Lora Lumbley of Vicksburg; three sons, Edwin A. Lumbley Jr., Kenneth R. Lumbley and John Alan Lumbley, all of Vicksburg; two daughters, Lora Imogene Walters and Connie Hall, both of Vicksburg; four brothers, Marvin Lumbley of Normandy, Tenn., Lamar Lumbley of Paducah, Ky., Wesley Lumbley of Ponchatoula, La., and Leslie Lumbley of Gulfport; two sisters, Annie Mae Charbonetta and Mary Dear, both of Ponchatoula; 12 grandchildren, Robin Fontenot, Sherry Palmer, Sandra Thomas, Richard Walters, Teresa Johnson, David Walters, Hershel Walters, Kevin Walters, Cameron Hall, Madison Lumbley, Jeremy Herring and John Lumbley Jr.; and 10 great-grandchildren, Mark Little, Kasey Little, Austin Palmer, Shelby Kurtz, Justin Walters, Rachael Walters, Samuel Johnson, Christine Johnson, Rebekah Johnson and Tonia Zeisler.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Frank J. Fisher Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ricky Dorrell officiating. Burial will follow at Green Acres Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 6 until 8 tonight at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be David Walters, Richard Walters, Mark Little, Kasey Little, Austin Palmer, Doug Upchurch and Shelby Kurtz.

Charlie Miller.

Charlie Miller died Thursday, Nov. 2, 2006, at River Region Medical Center. He was 78.

A veteran of the Korean War, Mr. Miller was a former machinist at Genuine Parts Service. He was a member of Greater Jerusalem Baptist Church and American Legion Tyner-Ford Post 213.

He was preceded in death by a son, Lester Joe Miller; his parents, Will Miller Sr. and Gertrude Miller; one sister, Mary Miller Branch; and five brothers, Fred Miller, Will Miller Jr., the Rev. J.A. Miller, Arthur James Miller Sr. and Harry Miller.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Lee Miller of Vicksburg; two sons, Charles R. Miller of Vicksburg and Ralph Miller of Jackson; five daughters, Debra Anderson of Jackson and Shirley Straughter, Doris Miller, Linda Lewis and Connie Linzy, all of Vicksburg; two brothers, the Rev. Robert L. Miller and Richard E. Miller, both of Vicksburg; three sisters, Daisy Gibson of Gardenia, Calif., Rose Standfield of Carson, Calif., and Ethel Miller of Long Beach, Calif.; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.

Services for Charles E. &#8220Lad” Minor will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Roosevelt Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of Williams Funeral Service. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. Friday at the church.

Mr. Minor died Saturday, Oct. 28, 2006, at River Region Medical Center. He was 55.

Mr. Minor was a member of First Baptist Church. He was an antique furniture dealer and a security officer.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Benard Minor and Rosie L. Minor; a sister, Edna Earle &#8220Sister” Minor Harrison; and a brother, John &#8220Joe” Minor Sr.

Survivors include his wife, Darlean Minor of Vicksburg; a son, Charles Benard Minor of Vicksburg; three brothers, Wilbert E. Minor, David Minor and Karl M. Minor, all of Vicksburg; two sisters, Inez B. Summers of Vicksburg and Florida Colbert of Shelby, Miss.; three stepsons, Julius Montgomery of Jackson, Odelle Montgomery and Roderick Montgomery, both of Vicksburg; and a stepdaughter, Cynthia Montgomery of Vicksburg.

Wayne Berry Nix.

BENOIT – Wayne Berry Nix died Thursday, Nov. 2, 2006, in Lamont, Miss., as a result of a car accident. He was 43.

Mr. Nix was a resident of Benoit, Miss.

He is survived by his mother, Beatrice N. Elsworth of Greenville; his father, Robert Lindsey, and stepmother, Ida Mae, of Stringtown; 11 sisters, Martha Elmore of Vicksburg, Elessie Nix, Sherry Nix, Brenda Nix, Barbara Nix, Marilyn Mobley, Gloria Esters, Kenya Lindsey, Mary Christian and Patricia Smith, all of Greenville, and Rosie Lawrence of Benoit; four brothers, Larry Nix, Robert Nix, Robert Lindsey, all of Greenville, and Albert Christian of Vicksburg; and two grandchildren and five grandchildren.

Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Greater Hinds Street M.B. Church in Greenville with the Revs. Thomas Morris and Anthony Bryant officiating. Burial will follow at Delta Memorial Gardens under the direction of Redmon Funeral Home in Greenville.
