There is a three-way contest for the Republican nomination for Senate District 23, which includes all of Warren and Issaquena counties. To advance, a candidate will need more than half the votes cast. If no candidate receives more than half, there will be a runoff two weeks after the primary.

The nominee will advance to face Democratic nominee Eric Rawlings on Nov. 6.
