Vicksburg High’s baseball season came to an end Saturday with a heartbreaking 6-4 loss to Tupelo in 10 innings.
Wesley McCullough’s walkoff 2-run home run in the bottom of the 10th broke a 4-4 tie and sent Tupelo (31-2) into the second round of the Class 5A state playoffs. Vicksburg ends the season as 19-12.
Eric Coleman hit a two-run home run and Bowen Woodson had three hits to pace Vicksburg, which forced a deciding third game with a 10-0 victory on Friday night at Bazinsky Field.
