Mildred Hart Frost

VALLEY PARK – Mildred Hart Frost died Sunday, May 6, 2007, at River Region Medical Center. She was 84.

A native of Collierville, Tenn., Mrs. Frost had been a resident of Valley Park for the past 10 years. She was a member of Valley Park Baptist Church.

She was employed in customer service for Wal-Mart and Dillard’s.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Broadie Frost; a son, David Frost; a brother, Richard Hart; and her parents, Elton Buel and Lena May Jurtt Hill Hart.

She is survived by two sons, Robert Frost and wife, Polly, of Vicksburg and Jerry Frost and wife, Peggy, of Collierville; one daughter, Jeane Braxton and husband, Jimmy, of Valley Park; three brothers, Alfred Carl Hart of Stone Mountain, Ga., Clifford Hart of Hickory Valley, Tenn., and Frank Hart of Oakland, Tenn.; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Valley Park Baptist Church with the Rev. Michael Ensign officiating. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Magnolia Cemetery in Collierville.

Visitation will be from noon Tuesday until the hour of the service at the church.

Glenwood Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers will be Brooks Trisler, Cade Trisler, Roger Trisler, Amanda Frost, Jeff Malone and Tyler Malone.

Honorary pallbearer will be Robbie Frost.

Flora A. Sherard

Flora A. Sherard died Sunday, May 6, 2007, at River Region Medical Center. She was 87.

Born in Garden City, Ala., she was the daughter of the late Thomas William Anderton and Emma Lavenia Brindley Anderton.

Mrs. Sherard served in the Navy during World War II as a Machinist 3rd Class. She retired in 1985 from Sears and was a member of Wayside Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry G. Sherard III; daughter, Karen Elizabeth Mitchell; son, Thomas Bradford Mitchell; sister, Elsie P. Lancaster; and two brothers, Howard Anderton and Elmer D. Anderton.

She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Opal A. Hill of Bossier City, La., and Mrs. Sue A. Rowlett of Vicksburg; and two granddaughters, Sharon Mitchell Acuff of Vicksburg and Kelsey Mitchell of Jackson.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Riles Funeral Home. Burial will be at Wayside Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of the service.

Pallbearers will be Don Rowland, Sidney R. Rowland Jr., Bob Anderton, Gary Anderton, Larry Anderton, Cecil Langley, Jim Stanford, Ricky Lott and Bob Harris.
