PALENSTINE, Texas – Beth &#8220Binky” Baird died Thursday, May 10, 2007. She was 65.

A nursing graduate of University of Texas, Mrs. Baird worked as a certified diabetes educator. She had worked for Trinity Valley Hospital of Palestine, Dr. Robert Pyle and Elite Nursing of Palestine.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Baird of Palestine, Texas; two sons, Cody Baird of Lockhart, Texas, and Brady Baird of Austin, Texas; two sisters, Joy Martin of Vicksburg and Millie Doucet of Iowa, La.; and eight grandchildren.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Bailey and Foster Chapel with the Rev. Todd Herod officiating. Burial will follow at Land of Memory Cemetery.

Jessie B. Robinson

Jessie B. Robinson died Thursday, May 10, 2007, at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson. She was 76.

Mrs. Robinson was a homemaker. She was a member of Mount Zion M.B. No. 4 Church on Union Avenue, where she served on the mother’s board.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Levi Robinson Jr.; her parents, Andrew Bell Sr. and Roberta Bell; a brother, Albert Lee Bell; and two sisters, Geralene Bell and Princess Lee Bell.

She is survived by her son, Calvin Robinson of Rosedale; two daughters, Bertha R. Carter of Clinton and Lucille R. Woods of Vicksburg; five brothers, Freddie Lee Bell of Chicago, Andrew Bell Jr., Louis Bell, Robert Bell and Otis Bell, all of Vicksburg; a sister, Flora Lee Bell of Chicago; nine grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives.

W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
