Joseph Harris Sr.
Services for Joseph Harris Sr. will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Williams Funeral Service Chapel. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 until 6 tonight at the funeral home.
Mr. Harris died Wednesday, July 4, 2007, at River Region Medical Center. He was 73.
Mr. Harris served in the Army and retired as a chef from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Mat Sinking Unit. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leon Harris Sr. and Ruby Harris; a brother, Leon Harris Jr., and a sister, Irene Harris.
Survivors include a daughter, Sherlyn Wynn of Macon, Ga.; a son, Joseph Harris Jr. of Vicksburg; a sister, Gloria Harris of Victorville, Calif.; a brother, John Drake Harris of California; and four grandchildren and other relatives and friends, including Deloris Harris-Smith.
Jeremy Drew Keith
DELTA CITY – Jeremy Drew Keith died Sunday, July 8, 2007, at his home in Delta City. He was 16.
Jeremy had lived most of his life in Vicksburg, where he attended Warren Central Junior High School. He was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Kay Keith.
He is survived by his mother, Becky Cockrell of Moulton, Ala.; his father and stepmother, Larry D. and Michelle Keith of Bend, Ore.; three sisters, Abby Keith of Bend, Breanne Arnold of Greenville and Katie Busby of Vicksburg; one brother, Cameron Keith of Bend; his maternal grandparents, Harvey and Mary Cockrell of Rolling Fork and Lois Cockrell of Moulton; his paternal grandfather, Eddie Keith of Gainesville, Ga.; and his paternal great-grandmother, Faye S. Kent of Delta City.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Glenwood Funeral Home in Rolling Fork with the Rev. Bobby Weatherly officiating. Burial will follow at Hollandale Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 until 8 tonight at Glenwood Funeral home in Vicksburg and Thursday at the funeral home in Rolling Fork from 9 a.m. until the service.
Pallbearers will be Chris Busby, Jeff Cockrell, Jamie Hammack, Taylor Burton, Oscar Clark and Craig Boykin.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jacob Keith, Nicholas Wade, Colby Clark, Dylan Wade, Corey Wade, Kevin Keith Jr., Mason Marquis, Taylor Marrett and Kylan Johnson.
Joe Lloyd Wilson
Services for Joe Lloyd Wilson will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Oak Chapel M.B. Church with the Rev. Dellie Robinson officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. Thursday at W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home and Friday at the church from 10 a.m. until the service.
Mr. Wilson died Friday, July 6, 2007, at River Region Medical Center. He was 67.
An Army veteran of the Vietnam War, Mr. Wilson was retired from International Paper Company. He was a member of Tyner-Ford Post 213 and Oak Chapel M.B. Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel Wilson and Elsie Robinson Wilson; a brother, Adam Wilson; and a sister, Evelyn Wilson.
He is survived by a daughter, Monica Denise Wilson of Vicksburg; his companion, Mattie L. Harris of Vicksburg; a brother, Walter Wilson of Jersey City, N.J.; and a sister, Ruby Ross of Los Angeles.
