Rev. Louvert Benard Curry
Services for the Rev. Louvert Benard “L.B.” Curry will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mark Freewill Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2 until 6 today at Dillon-Chisley Funeral Home and Wednesday at the church from 10 a.m. until the service.
Rev. Curry died Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2007, at Vicksburg Convalescent Home. He was 107.
He was a member of St. Mark Freewill Baptist Church.
He is survived by one daughter, Rosie Lee Curry of Vicksburg; and nieces, nephews and other relatives, including Grace Johnson of Vicksburg and Benjamin Robinson of Port Gibson.
Larry Norman Harper
WEST MONROE, La. — Funeral services for Larry Norman Harper, age 56 of West Monroe, La., will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2007, at the First Church of God, Oak Grove, with Brother Don DeLukie officiating. Interment will follow at Kilbourne Cemetery, Kilbourne, La., with military funeral honors.
Services are under the direction of Cox Funeral Home of Oak Grove.
Visitation will be from 6 until 9 tonight at Cox Funeral Home.
Larry was born in Lake Providence, La., on Nov. 14, 1950, and departed Sunday, Sept. 30.
Larry is survived by his wife, Sandra Harper of West Monroe; two daughters and sons-in-law, Tisha and Wayne Parker of Lake Providence and April and Shane Ware of West Monroe; his parents, Leo and Mildred Harper of Kilbourne; four grandchildren, Grayson and Whitt Parker of Lake Providence and Kaylee and Maddie Ware of West Monroe; a sister and brother-in-law, Paula and Bob Nuber of Slidell, La.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be the U.S. Army military pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearers will be Cole Fields, Trey Jennings, Jude Jennings, Johnny Putnam, Jimmy Guice, Jim McCaul, Terry Ware, Lane Murray and Johnny Harper.
Memorials may be made to Magnolia Bible College, Kosciusko, MS.
John H. Reed
EDWARDS — John H. Reed died Monday, Oct. 1, 2007, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Rolling Fork. He was 76.
Mr. Reed was a member of United M.B. Church in Edwards. He retired from Cooper Lighting.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Eddie Bell Reed.
Survivors include his wife, Lucille Reed of Edwards; three sons, Phillip Reed of California and Larry Reed and Harry Reed, both of New Orleans; one brother, James Reed Jr. of Jackson; two sisters, Ruby Mae Jennings of Greenville and Mary Polk of Chicago; one granddaughter; and other relatives, including members of the Allen families of Vicksburg and Edwards.
Dillon-Chisley Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
