Residential and auto burglaries were widely reported in Vicksburg and Warren County Tuesday.A total of 280 feet of copper wiring was stolen from beneath a mobile home behind Goodrum Baptist Church in the 4500 block of Fisher Ferry Road, according to a report taken by the Warren County Sheriff’s Office Tuesday. An air conditioning unit at the trailer was also stripped of its copper. The copper was valued at $5,000 and was reported missing during the weekend.A 2001 Mitsubishi was burglarized in the 1400 block of Baum Street early Tuesday. Vicksburg Police received a report at 7:13 that a faceplate of a stereo, valued at $250, was missing. The vinyl convertible top of the vehicle was damaged, and valued at $1,000.A 1991 Mazda RX-7 was burglarized in the 1500 block of Walnut Street Tuesday evening. Vicksburg Police received a report at 6:12 that a Pioneer CD player, an Acer laptop computer and a computer bag were all missing, with a total value of $1,050. The vinyl convertible top of the vehicle was damaged, and valued at $1,000.A residential burglary in the 1500 block of Jefferson Street was reported to Vicksburg Police at 9:51 a.m. Tuesday. About $100 in spare change, a watch and bottle of cologne were missing. Total value of the missing items was reported to be $275.A green 1997 Dodge Neon with Mississippi license plate FRF 401 was stolen Tuesday from the 5A exit ramp of westbound Interstate 20. The car was left on the ramp following a traffic stop at 2 a.m. Tuesday by Vicksburg Police in which neither the driver nor the passenger had a valid driver’s license. The car was reported missing at 12:29 p.m. An unidentified amount of cash, jewelry and a Dell laptop computer were reported missing from a residence on the 100 block of Annandale Drive Tuesday evening. The Warren County Sheriff’s Office received the report at 8:07, and reported the burglary occurred sometime between 2:15 and 3:45 p.m.
Two women charged with felony shoplifting
Two Monroe women were arrested Tuesday and charged with felony shoplifting.
Darlene Davis, 27, and Tomika Dubose, 25, both of 116 Lilac St., Monroe, were arrested at 1:47 p.m. by Vicksburg Police on felony shoplifting charges at the Outlets of Vicksburg Osh Kosh store.
Both were at the Warren County Jail this morning, Davis on a $15,000 bond and Dubose on a $10,000 bond.
Two women out on bond after drug-related arrests
Two Vicksburg women were arrested on drug-related charges Tuesday by Warren County deputies.
Marion Johnson, 46, and Joann Johnson, 37, both of 320 Kirkland Road, were arrested Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. on a charge of possessing a precursor to manufacture a controlled substance.
Each was released from the Warren County Jail on a $2,500 bond.
