Furniture, appliances missing from dealership|[02/19/08]

More than $5,000 of missing property was reported in a business burglary at a mobile home dealership Monday, Vicksburg police said.
Reported missing from C&W Homes, 5540 U.S. 61 South, were two GE electric stoves, two GE side-by-side refrigerators, a dining room furniture set, a living room furniture set, a coffee table, an end table, a set of french doors and an exterior door. The items came from three trailers at the business.
Vicksburg Police Lt. Bobby Stewart said the burglars gained entrance by cutting through a fence. Police received the report at 7:28 a.m.
Seven other burglaries were reported to police during the holiday weekend.
At 10:43 a.m. Friday, a Gateway laptop computer valued at $1,000 was reported stolen from a home in the 2100 block of South Frontage Road. Stewart said there was no sign of forced entry.
Two revolvers, a .38 caliber and a .380 caliber, valued at $400 were reported stolen from a vehicle in the 2700 block of Washington Street. Police received the report at 2:25 p.m. Friday. Stewart said the vehicle’s doors were unlocked.
A Dell laptop computer and a 19-inch TV were reported stolen from a home in the 2600 block of Ken Karyl Avenue at 7 p.m. Sunday. The total value was listed at $1,750. Entrance was gained by forcing open one of the home’s doors.
At 8:25 p.m. Sunday, $900 was reported missing from a home in the 1100 block of Jefferson Street. There were no signs of forced entry, Stewart said.
A Dooney Burke purse, valued at $150 and containing $800, was reported stolen at Pemberton Square mall Monday. Police received the report at 1:55 p.m.
A PlayStation 2 valued at $150 was reported stolen from the 1100 block of Avenue C at 5:15 Monday. Stewart said entrance was gained through a window.
At 9:25 p.m. Monday, a Dell laptop computer and a Compaq laptop computer were stolen from a vehicle in the 1400 block of Hayes Street. The 2005 Nissan Altima was entered through an unlocked door, Stewart said.
In addition to the burglaries, a felony malicious mischief was reported to police Friday. The victim reported that his 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier parked in the 100 block of Athens Avenue had scratch marks on its hood, roof and trunk. The damage was estimated at $800.
Car reported stolen after breaking down
A vehicle that broke down near a grocery on Confederate Avenue near Wisconsin Avenue Friday was reported stolen from that location Monday.
The missing vehicle is a 2005 Pontiac Vibe. Police received the report at 4:43 p.m.
Tree trimmer parts hot in county thefts
A trailer and tree trimmer parts were reported missing from two Warren County homes this weekend.
The utility trailer, dual-axel with plywood sides, was reported missing from a home in the 100 block of County Lane Monday. The trailer’s value was listed at $1,336. The Warren County Sheriff’s Department received the report at 10:20 a.m.
At 11:20 a.m. Monday, a saw motor, saw head and a saw blade were reported missing from a home in the 2000 block of Hankinson Road. The missing parts to a tree trimmer were valued at $5,000.
