One Vicksburg woman remained jailed and another was released on bond following their arrests on counterfeit charges.

LaWon Evans, 23, 1214 W. Magnolia St., was being held on a $30,000 bond after being arrested Friday  on five counts of conspiracy to commit a crime and five counts of possession of counterfeit instruments.

Separately, Cretonia Nickson, 34, 320 Fisher Ferry Road No. 45, was released on a $15,000 bond after surrendering at the Vicksburg police department for possession of  counterfeit bank notes and instruments and for uttering forgery.

In a separate case, a third woman was arrested at the police station and charged with uttering a forgery.

Natasha Blackmore, 21, 309 Spring Ridge Road, was being held in the Issaquena County Jail on a $15,000 bond, said Vicksburg police Sgt. Sandra Williams.

Authorities were investigating if the cases were related.

Two cars stolen; one found on Clark

Two cars were stolen and one was found Sunday and Monday.

A 2007 white Toyota Tacoma, tag number 7H1364, was reported stolen at 12:44 p.m. Sunday from the 1200 block of Harrison Street. The owner had left the keys in the ignition while he went inside his house.

A 2008 dark silver Chevrolet Impala with tag LFJ364 was reported missing at 4:19 a.m. Monday at 4330 S. Frontage Road. The car was registered to National Car Rental in Jackson.

A car reported stolen in Louisiana, a Mercury Sable, was found by Vicksburg police abandoned on the side of Clark Street Monday.

No arrests were made.

Clothes among items missing in burglary

Ten shirts valued at $70, six pairs of jeans, two DVDs valued at $30 and a car title were stolen from an apartment at Confederate Ridge in the 700 block of U.S. 61 North.

The front door was forced open and the items were stolen.

• A 42-inch Hitachi Plasma television valued at $850 was reported missing Sunday after a rock was thrown through a window at Rent-a-Center, 2200 A Clay St.

• Two Apple iPods valued at $200 each and $20 were reported missing at 7:02 a.m. Sunday from the 200 block of Cashman Drive. The victim at Riverfront Park saw a man running from her vehicle and when she got to the vehicle, she found the items had been stolen.

• A window was reported broken at 8:28 p.m. Monday at USA Pawn Shop, 4119 Washington St., but nothing was reported missing.
