Two women charged after youth steals purse

Two Jackson women arrested Thursday at 1:15 p.m. were charged for grand larceny and directing a youth to commit a felony.
The women were customers at The Bovina Grocery and enticed a child to reach behind the counter and retrieve the purse of an employee, Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace said.
The incident was recorded on a surveillance camera and West Central Mississippi Crime Stoppers received a call identifying the suspects.
Arrested and released from the Warren County Jail on $50,000 bond each were Monica Williams, 47, 1844 Longwood Drive, and Cassie Scott, 22, 3902 W. Capitol St.
TV, guns, jewelry missing in burglaries
A home burglary was reported at 11:20 p.m. Thursday in the 3100 block of Second Street. Missing was a Sanyo 42-inch flat screen television valued at $1,500, said Vicksburg police Lt. Bobby Stewart.
In the county, a burglary was reported at 6:08 p.m. Wednesday in the 6300 block of Mississippi 3.
Missing were: a Heckler & Koch model HK91 automatic firearm valued at $1,500; a .22 H&R Revolver valued at $200; a Thompson .50 muzzle loader valued at $200; a Springfield model 870 valued at $150; a Remington 870 20-gauge pump valued at $200; a 30/30 Marlin with a scope and sling valued at $350; an H&R .22 pistol valued at $200; a Henry .22 rifle valued at $225; a 12-inch Bowie knife valued at $125; a garnet and diamond necklace valued at $1,000; a sack of old silver coins and Indian head pennies valued at $100; two gold necklaces valued at $250; one gold railroad service coin with an unknown value; and a pearl necklace with an unknown value.
