Beatrice Culbert Mayfield

Services for Beatrice Culbert “Bea” Mayfield will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness with Elder William Boyd officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 until 7 p.m. Friday at W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home and Saturday at the church from 1 p.m. until the service.

Mrs. Mayfield died Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2008, at River Region Medical Center. She was 79.

A homemaker, Mrs. Mayfield was a member the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmo Mayfield; three sons, Ernest Mayfield, Eddie Mayfield Sr. and David Mayfield Sr.; one brother, Mack Culbert Jr.; two sisters, Alma Alexander and Tommie Ray; and her parents, Mack Culbert Sr. and Mollie Windham Riptoe.

She is survived by two sons, Karl Mayfield Sr. of Fontana, Calif., and Lovies Mayfield of Vicksburg; five daughters, Willie Jean Tucker, Terri Mayfield and Lela Mayfield, all of Vicksburg, Bobbie Jean Cooper of San Fernando, Calif., and Sandra Bingham of North Ridge, Calif.; five sisters, Maxcille Johnson, Camille Fleet and Juanita Culbert, all of Baton Rouge, Eunice Maxwell of Vicksburg and Jean Gaskin of Hampton, Va.; 27 grandchildren; and nieces, nephews and great-grandchildren.
