J.W. Gray Jr. died Friday, Dec. 19, 2008, at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland. He was 73.

Mr. Gray was a retired employee of Packard Electric and was a member of Alta Woods Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Gray of Florence; a son, Will Gray of Fort Pierce, Fla; a daughter, Brenda Nelson of Fort Worth, Texas; two stepsons, James Myers of Vicksburg and Tommy Myers of Gainesville, Ga.; a stepdaughter, Anita Mathis of Lawrenceville, Ga.; two sisters, Jeanette Pittman of Jackson and Bessie Harrison of Pearl; and six grandchildren.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Chapel in Jackson with burial at 3:30 p.m. at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Vicksburg. Visitation will be from 1 until 4 this afternoon at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Chapel in Jackson.
