Darry Ford

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Services for Darry Ford will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the National Guard Armory in Rolling Fork with the Rev. Quincy Washington officiating. Burial will follow at Green Chapel M.B. Church Cemetery in Rolling Fork. Visitation will be from 5 until 6 p.m. Friday at Dillon-Chisley Funeral Home and Saturday at the armory from noon until the service.
Mr. Ford died Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2008, in Charlotte, N.C. He was 44.
Mr. Ford was a former resident of Rolling Fork and a graduate of Rolling Fork High School. He owned and operated a welding business in Charlotte. He was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Onward.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Malinda Woodland Ford; two brothers, Lonnie Spencer and James Spencer; and one sister, Shirley Ann Ford.
Survivors include one son, Roderrick Savannah of Fort Knox, Ky.; one daughter, Rejeanna Savannah of Nashville; his father and stepmother, Henry and Lorraine Ford of Rolling Fork; two brothers, Charles Ford of Charlotte and Henry Ford of Dallas; four sisters, Brenda Curry of Statesboro, Ga., Mattie Clark of Fort Walton, Fla., Eloise Caples of Vicksburg and Alexandria Ford of Rolling Fork; two stepsisters, Phaleshia Gregory of Milwaukee, Wis., and Marcella Tatum of Rolling Fork; seven grandchildren; and nieces, nephews and other relatives, including Louise Cole of Atlanta and Elbert Ford and Herbert Ford, both of Gretna, La.
