A car reported stolen Friday was found Sunday, Vicksburg Police said.
The car, a Dodge Neon, had been reported missing from Denmans Alley, and it was found in the 1200 block of Cherry Street, Lt. Bobby Stewart said.
Another vehicle, a 1994 Ford Ranger reported missing from Chickasaw Road Friday, had not been found, Stewart said.
Three burglaries reported; dishes, tools missing
Three city burglaries were reported to Vicksburg Police this weekend, and a juvenile was arrested for one.
A china set valued at $80 and two cigarette lighters were reported missing from a home in the 2700 block of Halls Ferry Road. The report was received at At 4 p.m. Saturday, a residential burglary was reported in the 1500 block of Rosedown Drive. Missing was a PlayStation 2 valued at $200 and Little Debbie oatmeal cookies. An hour later in the same block, a juvenile was arrested and charged with the burglary, Vicksburg Police Lt. Bobby Stewart said.
A skill saw valued at $80 and various hand tools, which were valued at $200, were reported stolen from a home in the 3700 block of Washington Street. Police received the report at 12:30 a.m. Friday.
In the county during the weekend, a boat, a flat screen TV and a DVD player were missing in two burglaries in the 10000 block of U.S. 61 South.
A 1979 30-horsepower boat motor with no known value and a Minn Kota trolling motor, valued at $175, were reported stolen at 7:43 a.m. Saturday, Warren County records show. In the second burglary, a 25-inch flat screen TV and a DVD player with a total value of $520 were reported missing at 1:55 p.m. Sunday.
Shots on Oak Street damage parked car
Gunfire was reported early Sunday morning on Oak Street, police said.
At 12:24 a.m., Vicksburg police received reports of shots fired in the 2400 block, Lt. Bobby Stewart said. While at the scene, officers discovered that a 2005 Lincoln Town Car had been shot once.
No arrests had been made.
Two men injured in wreck on Old 27
Men from Jackson and Raymond were taken to River Region Medical Center, a hospital spokesman said, after being involved in a wreck on Old Highway 27 and South Frontage Road late Saturday, records with the Vicksburg Fire Department said.
Ricket McCory, 41, 109 Random Oak Cove, Raymond, who was the driver, was treated and released, while Jimmy McCory, 68, 1847 Oakland Ave., Jackson, his passenger, was transferred to another hospital. The River Region spokesman did not disclose the hospital to which the passenger was transferred.
The wreck happened at 11:54 p.m. No other details on the wreck were available.
