Allen, Mitchell to marry at Bypass Church of Christ

The engagement of Victoria Rená Nunnally Allen of Vicksburg to Brent J.S. Mitchell of Covington, Ga., is announced today. Vows will be exchanged at 3 p.m. Nov. 29, 2008, at Bypass Church of Christ. A reception will follow at the Vicksburg Convention Center.

Ms. Allen is the daughter of Deborah Nunnally and Therington and Ann Nunnally, all of Vicksburg. She is the granddaughter of the late Isaac and Bernice Lee of Vicksburg and Clara Nunnally and the late William Nunnally of Arcadia, Fla.

Mr. Mitchell is the son of Marilyn Lighty of Covington. He is the grandson of the late Ainsley West and Phyllis Mitchell, both of Trinity.

The bride-elect is a graduate of Vicksburg High School, where she served as newspaper editor and was a member of the Environmental Club, French Club and basketball, softball and track teams.

She received a technical certificate in dental assisting technology from Hinds Community College, where she was a Dean’s Scholar.

Ms. Allen is a dental assistant for Nash Family Dentistry.

The prospective groom is a graduate of Glen Hills High School in Augusta, Ga.

Mr. Mitchell is an avionics technician for the U.S. Marine Corps.
