Bus hits utility pole;400 lose electricity|[02/21/08]

ACCIDENT * From Staff Reports

About 400 homes were without electricity for an 1 1/2 hours this morning after a school bus slammed into a utility pole.

The wreck occurred at about 6:19 a.m. in the 4900 block of Halls Ferry when a Vicksburg Warren School District bus, which was carrying no children, left the road and struck the pole, Lt. Bobby Stewart said. No injuries were reported.

Don Arnold, spokesman with Entergy, said all electricity was returned this morning.
