CHICAGO — Clinton Figures died Sunday, Dec. 14, 2008, in Chicago. He was 77.

Mr. Figures was a native of Vicksburg. He was the son of the late Clara and Eugene Figures. He had lived most of his life in Chicago where he retired from People Gas.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Adrian Humes and Clinton Figures Jr.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia Humes Figures; four daughters, Ebony Figures, Barnetta Figures-Warren, and Carole Figures-Starnes, all of Chicago, and Deidre Figures-Cobbins of San Antonio; one son, Anthony Figures of Chicago; two brothers, Eugene Figures and Richard Figures, both of Chicago; and grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives, including Ester Humes Havard Davis and the Miller, Lee and Gaines families.

Services will be at Gatling’s Chapel in Chicago.
