Ann S. Green

Ann S. Green entered into eternal rest on Nov. 11, 2008.
She was born Nov. 6, 1927, to David Portis Stabler and Mary Robertson Stabler in Lower Peachtree, Ala. She had three siblings — Irene Burns (deceased), James R. Stabler and Lucy Harrell.
Ann retired from the Waterways Experiment Station and served as president of the local Women’s Business Association. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey H. Green; her daughter, Carol Ann Stewart; her son, Michael Harvey Green; her granddaughter, Heidi Whitley; and her grandson, John Michael Green.
Her surviving family members are her daughter, Linda Gail Santiago; her son, John David Green; and her grandchildren, Barbara Gail White, Dave M. Stewart, Christopher (Muffin) Porter and Cayce Porter. Her great-grandchildren are Daphne Ann Stewart, Robert Samuel, Matthew White, Kirsten Stewart, Michael Whitley, Lauren Whitley, Lynda Whitley and Tatiana Raykhlin.
Visitation will be tonight at Fisher Funeral Home between the hours of 5 and 7. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday. She will be laid to rest at Green Acres Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be DeWitt Thomas, Robbie Stabler, Michael Stabler, Wesley Blair, Bobby Whitley Sr. and Bobby Whitley Jr.
Honorary pallbearers will be Luther Warnock, James Bryant and Lloyd Alderman Warnock.
