ACHIEVEMENTS
Jenorice Blackmore, Elizabeth Seratt and Miranda Shugars, all of Vicksburg, have been selected to attend the Mississippi School for Mathematics and Science in Columbus.
DEGREES
Joe Carr of Vicksburg graduated with honors from Jones Junior College during July commencement. He is pursuing a degree at the University of Southern Mississippi and is the recipient of a Phi Theta Kappa scholarship. He is the son of Cynde Mott and Larry Carr.
Shirley Reynolds Allen, David Randall Broome, Faye Crumpton Corson, James Carroll Creel Jr., Leandrew Drake Jr., Mary Kathryn Hullum, Erika Purnell January, Angela C. McRee, Andrew Harris Rainer and Melissa O. Williams, all of Vicksburg, received degrees from Mississippi College during summer commencement.
Lisa R. Harris, Ken Nolan and Lorenzo January, all of Vicksburg, received degrees from Kaplan University in Chicago during summer commencement.
Robert Andrews of Vicksburg has received a master of arts degree in ministry from Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, Ind.
Toni Tinese Lowe received her doctorate of philosophy degree in urban higher education at Jackson State University this month. She received her master of business administration degree from Mississippi College and a bachelor of business administration in computer information systems from the University of Louisiana at Monroe. She is employed with the Engineer Research and Development Center, serving as a contract specialist for the ERDC Contracts Office-Special Programs Branch. She is also an adjunct professor for the Business Administration Department at Hinds Community College’s Vicksburg Branch. She is a member of Mu Xi Omega chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., NAACP, Blacks in Government and Toastmasters’ organizations. A member of Greater Grove Street M.B. Church, she is the daughter of Harrison Jr. and Ruthe Lowe. She is the granddaughter of the late Charles Sr. and Nicie Meekins and Harrison Lowe and Bernice Walker Lowe.
