Maggielean Flagg Cassell
CHICAGO — Maggielean Flagg Cassell died Saturday, Feb. 2, 2008, in Chicago. She was 70.
A former Edwards resident, Mrs. Cassell had lived in Chicago for more than 50 years.
She is survived by four sons, Walter Cassell, Robert Cassell and Albert Cassell, all of Chicago, and Jack Cassell of Goshen, Ind.; three daughters, Hazel Cassell of Chicago, Bennie Jett of Bristol, Ind., and Ozella Morris of Elkhart, Ind.; two brothers, James Earl Flagg Sr. of Edwards and Leonard Bracey of Philadelphia, Miss.; seven sisters, Bernice Robinson and Emma Lee Flagg, both of Chicago, Mildred Partan of Baton Rouge, Janie Mae Pollard and Beulah Lee Green, both of Edwards, and Berdia Mae Mace and Odell Flagg Allen, both of Vicksburg; and grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives, including Bernice Jackson of Jackson.
Stamps Funeral Home in Chicago has charge of arrangements.
Margaret Nell Wooten
Margaret Nell Wooten died Sunday, Feb. 3, 2008, at River Region Medical Center. She was 73.
A native of Leake County, Mrs. Wooten had lived in Vicksburg for the past 46 years. She retired from Moak Petroleum Co. and was a member of New Vision Family Worship Center.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Ross Wooten; one son, Gerald Joe McLemore; and one brother, Raymond Brooks.
Survivors include a son, Stanley McLemore of Wesson; a daughter, Debbie McMillian of Vicksburg; one brother, Tom Brooks of Carthage; and six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Glenwood Funeral Home with the Rev. Tommy Russell officiating. Burial will follow at Green Acres Memorial Park.
Visitation will be at the funeral home Tuesday from 1 p.m. until the service.
Pallbearers will be Jeffrey McMillian, Nathan Randall, Larry Kemp, Danny Brooks, Butch Brooks and Glen Kemp.
