City man charged with rape, burglary

A Vicksburg man is accused of a rape and burglary that happened near his home, said Vicksburg police Lt. Bobby Stewart.

Joel Ransauro, 24, 353 Grange Hall Road, Lot 21, was arrested and charged at 3:23 p.m. Saturday. The burglary and rape was reported at a residence on Grange Hall Road. 

Ransauro was in the Warren County Jail this morning.

Camera, refrigerator reported missing

In items reported stolen in Vicksburg over the weekend:

* A Frigidaire refrigerator, valued at $490, was reported missing Saturday at 4:35 p.m. from  a home in the 200 block of Lover’s Lane, said Vicksburg police. Lt. Bobby Stewart.

* A Canon PowerShot digital camera valued at $300 and an iPod valued at $150 were reported missing Sunday at 7:21 p.m. from a 1999 Oldsmobile parked in the 1800 block of U.S. 61 South, said Stewart.
