The reception hall was adorned with a pair of candelabrums and six columns trimmed in greenery. Silk rose petals and floating candles in bowls topped each table. Greenery interspersed with silk turquoise and chocolate roses adorned an arch.

Parents and grandparents were seated to “Here and Now.” The officiant, groom and members of the wedding party entered to “Still in Love,” followed by “Forever” for the bride’s entrance. “He Is” was played in a special dedication to the groom.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a white, satin gown accented on the front bodice and at the shoulders with white-pearl beads and lace. Satin-covered buttons cascaded from the back neckline to the train’s hem.

She wore a rhinestone tiara attached to a separate, lace-trimmed veil scattered with pearl beads and held in place by a rhinestone comb.

She carried a teardrop bouquet of white, turquoise and chocolate silk roses tied with white-satin ribbon.

Maid of honor was Machelle Doss of Vicksburg. She wore a chocolate-colored dress, which was finished with a train and adorned on the bodice with scattered rhinestones and a rhinestone buckle. Matrons of honor were LaTeshia Slaughter of Vicksburg and KaTrina Thomas of Kansas City, Mo. They each wore chocolate gowns trimmed across the open back with a rhinestone strap.

Bridesmaids were Carmelia Perkins, Minikka Moore, Joya Scott, Sherika Moore, Denise Lewis and LaMeka Miller, all of Vicksburg; India Lott of Memphis; and Andrea Magee of Birmingham, Ala. They each wore turquoise-satin dresses in various styles — some featured rhinestones along back crisscross straps; others were fashioned with rhinestones under a sheer bodice.

All attendants carried bouquets of chocolate and turquoise silk flowers.

Flower girls were Amirah Lewis of Vicksburg and Kailyn McNair of Byram. They each wore white gowns and carried white and turquoise silk petals in wicker baskets.

Miniature bride was LaMaya Miller of Vicksburg. She wore a dress, tiara and bouquet to match the bride.

Cedric Gleese Sr. of Vicksburg served as best man. Groomsmen were Olston Magee of Birmingham and Tico Wright, Tekoa Banks, Cedrick Sims, Robert Harris, Antonio Tubbs, Derrick Adams, Mario Cason and Stanley Gleese, all of Vicksburg.

Ushers were Shunderrick Qualls, Chris Smith, Genoa Williams and Anthony Williams, all of Vicksburg; and Patrick Cessna and Orien Magee, both of Edwards.

Ring bearers were Prince Thomas III of Kansas City and Montavious Miller of Vicksburg.

O’Terrien Gleese and Thomas Tubbs III, both of Vicksburg, served as miniature grooms.

The groom, in a white vest, and his attendants, in turquoise vests, wore white tuxedos. Jackets worn by the ushers and miniature grooms featured tails.

The bride’s mother wore a chocolate-taffeta skirt with a matching button-up jacket created with sheer sleeves.

The groom’s mother wore formal black pants with a turquoise top.

A reception followed the ceremony.

The food table featured a turquoise punch fountain and a white-chocolate fountain.

The bride’s four-tiered chocolate-and-turquoise cake, surrounded by four satellite cakes, sat atop a turquoise monogram.

The groom’s chocolate cake, frosted in green, was shaped like Mississippi and marked with Vicksburg.

For a wedding trip, the couple traveled to Fairfield Glad Resort in Tennessee.

They will make their home in Vicksburg, where the bride is employed with Sta-Home and the groom is employed at the Sports Center.

Out-of-state guests were from Missouri, Tennessee, Illinois, Alabama, Georgia and Colorado.
