Vicksburg High had an easy time of it Wednesday, dropping only nine games in crushing Lanier 7-0 in a Division 3-4A match.

Donald Brown and Christine Figueroa won 6-0, 6-0 in their boys and girls singles matches, respectively, while Reed Rodgers and Perry Tolliver won 6-0, 6-1 in No. 1 boys doubles. Kiefer Slaton and Fritz Valerio won 6-1, 6-0 in No. 2 boys doubles. Catherine Figueroa and Grace Ga-as, along with Samantha Briggs and Nikki Thomas, won their girls doubles matches 6-0, 6-0. The only hiccup for the Gators came in mixed doubles, where Perry Wolfe and Brittany Stocks beat D’Juan Young and Laquinta Tillman 6-2, 7-5.

Vicksburg (7-4, 4-1 in division play) will face Yazoo City today at Halls Ferry Park.
