From staff reports
The remnants of Hurricane Gustav continue to force some postponements.
• Warren Central’s slow-pitch softball game scheduled for Tuesday has been re-scheduled for Sept. 15 at 6 p.m. at Brandon. With only two teams in the division, both schools have already qualified for the state tournament, but home-field advantage will be at stake. This will be the first of two meetings between the schools.
• Hinds Community College moved its Thursday night game against Northwest Community College to Saturday at 4 p.m. at Joe Renfroe Stadium in Raymond. Northwest is coached by former South Panola head coach Ricky Woods, who went 74-1 in five seasons with the Tigers.
• As of 10 this morning, no decision was made regarding St. Aloysius’ football game at Dexter, located in Tylertown.
• Vicksburg’s home game against WC on Friday at 7:30 p.m., and Porters Chapel Academy’s home game against Prairie View set for 7 p.m. will be played as scheduled.
