Two Warren County residents were transferred to an out-of-town hospital Wednesday night after a head-on collision on Lee Road. One of two others injured remained hospitalized in Vicksburg.

Robert Harrison, 23, and Valerie Burnside, 27, both of 4598 Lee Road, were transferred to an unnamed location, said Amanda Hebert at River Region Medical Center, where the two were treated initially.

Taylor Hayden, 21, 115 J.A. West Drive, also identified as Taylor King, remained at River Region Medical Center this morning in fair condition. A fourth person, Jill Erwin, 16, 185 Hometown Road, was treated and released, Hebert said.

Warren County Undersheriff Jeff Riggs said the wreck occurred near Burton Lane at about 7 p.m.

He said a westbound Chevrolet truck driven by Harrison veered into the oncoming lane and struck a Mercury Marquis driven by Hayden. Burnside was a passenger in Harrison’s car; and Erwin was riding in Hayden’s car.

Riggs said the wreck remained under investigation.

Two pairs arrested by Vicksburg police

Arrests by Vicksburg police came in pairs for Wednesday.

At 12:31 p.m., Travie April Warren, 30, 3465 U.S. 61 South Lot 1, and Tony Keene, 29, 816 Queen St., were arrested at Corner Drugstore, 1123 N. Washington St., and charged with prescription forgery, Vicksburg Police Sgt. Sandra Williams said.

Warren posted her $2,500 bond and was released from the Warren County Jail. Keene, who was out on bond for another prescription forgery charge, was held without bond.

Eric Wallace, 25, 1213 Harrison St., and Willie Jones Mosley Jr., 27, 911 Locust St., were each charged with two counts of possessing stolen firearms after they were arrested at 2:52 p.m. in the 1300 block of Mission 66. In addition, Mosley was charged with possession of a weapon after a felony conviction.

Wallace’s bond was set at $20,000, while Mosely’s was set at $40,000.

Video game set, shoes, jewelry reported missing

A PlayStation 2 and 10 games were among the items reported missing in residential burglary Wednesday, Vicksburg police said.

Also missing from the home in the 4000 block of Washington Street were a pair of Nike shoes and a silver necklace. The missing property was valued at $950. The burglary was reported at 6:34 p.m.

Two steel fences missing on Lee Road

Two steel galvanized fences were reported stolen from a Warren County home Wednesday.

The stolen property was valued at $500. The Warren County Sheriff’s Department received the report from the 4400 block of Lee Road at 3:56 p.m.
