Washer, dryer, gun among missing items|Crime & Accident

Burglaries were reported in the city and county during the weekend.

* A GE washer valued at $250 and GE dryer valued at $275 were reported stolen at 4:51 p.m. Sunday from the 1300 block of Prospect Street.

* A door was damaged on a home in the 1400 block of First East Street Saturday, but nothing was reported missing.

* A break-in was reported at Gore’s Hardware Company, 1203 Openwood St., at 7:09 a.m. Sunday, but nothing was reported missing. 

* A hundred feet of copper wire, 10 feet of steel chains, electric drills and saws valued at $400 and Snap-On hand tools valued at $800 were reported missing from a storage shed on Williams Street at 5:42 p.m. Friday.

In the county:

* A semi-automatic .25 caliber pistol valued at $130 was reported missing from the 4400 block of Haleys Point Saturday at 7:30 a.m.

In auto burglaries:

* A JVC speaker valued at $150 and JVC 800-watt amplifier valued at $350 were reported missing from a 1996 purple Chevrolet Cavalier this morning at 5:19 from Confederate Ridge apartments, U.S. 61 North.

* A JVC am/fm CD player was reported missing from a 2003 Kia Spectra from the Eastover Drive area Saturday at 5:01 a.m.

Pattison man injured in wreck on Oak Ridge

A Pattison man was injured in a Sunday morning wreck on Oak Ridge Road.

Anthony Carr, 18, 2993 Union Church Road, hit a tree, and a spokesman for River Region Medical Center said he was treated and released.
