Rosa N. Allen

Rosa N. Allen died Wednesday, July 30, 2008, at River Region Medical Center. She was 89.

Mrs. Allen was born in Franklin County and, since 1958, had been living in Vicksburg where she was formerly employed as an LPN. She was a former member of the Warren County Hunting Club and the King’s Point Hunting Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Zack and Martha Ratliff Nordan; two brothers; and a sister. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Vicksburg. She was a loving mother and grandmother.

The family would like to thank the fifth floor nursing staff of River Region Medical Center and also Dr. Anita Tribble and Dr. Murray Whitaker for their care and compassion.

Survivors include two daughters, Frances (Bobby) Glodjo of Port Gibson and Mary (Kent) May of Vicksburg; four sons, William “Billy” (Illeen) Noble of Vicksburg, Henry Allen (Linda) Noble of Eagle Lake, Shelby (Beverly) Noble of Baton Rouge and Franklin (Margie) Noble of Tyler, Texas; two sisters, Amy (Prentiss) Dillon of Meadeville and Barbara Jean (Edward) Jones of Brandon; 22 grandchildren; and 36 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Glenwood Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Matt Buckles officiating. Burial will follow at Green Acres Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 tonight at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Keith May, Tracy May, Bryan Noble, Jon Noble, Michael Noble, David Strittman and Michael.
