Taylor and Jarvis to marry

The engagement of Ashley Nicole Taylor of Raymond, Wash., to Sean Michael Jarvis of South Bend, Wash., formerly of Vicksburg, is announced today. Vows will be exchanged at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 27, 2008, at Caswell’s on the Bay Inn in Ocean Park, Wash. A reception will follow.

Miss Taylor is the daughter of Dureen Brown and Steven Taylor, both of Raymond, Wash. She is the granddaughter of Bobbie and Don Bailey and the late Betty and Dewey Taylor.

Mr. Jarvis is the son of Susan Jarvis and Wendell and Michelle Jarvis, all of Vicksburg. He is the grandson of the late Ruth and Bill Portzer Sr. of Johnstown, Pa., and the late Mary Rose and Leo Jarvis of Brandon.

The bride-elect is a graduate of Willapa Valley High School in Menlo, Wash. She is attending Grays Harbor Community College.

Miss Taylor is a sexual assault prevention advocate with the Crisis Support Network.

The prospective groom is a graduate of Warren Central High School. He served in a stryker brigade with the Army at Fort Lewis, Wash., and in Iraq. He is attending Grays Harbor Community College.

Mr. Jarvis is a correctional officer with the Pacific County Sheriff’s Department.
