Vehicle stolen, recovered in minutes in Vicksburg|[05/13/08]

A vehicle reported stolen at 10:20 Monday night was recovered 20 minutes later about a block away from where it was taken.

Vicksburg Police received the report of a missing 2002 Dodge Dakota pickup from the 800 block of First North Street and recovered the vehicle at First East and Farmer streets. No suspects had been identified this morning, said Lt. Bobby Stewart.

County nabs two for buglary, larceny

Two Vicksburg men were arrested by Warren County officials in separate incidents Monday on charges of burglary and grand larceny.

Ricky Ballard, 24, 10150 U.S. 61, was arrested around noon and charged with burglary. He was released on a $5,000 bond.

Marcus Robinson, 19, 212 Overlook Drive, was arrested around 12:45 p.m. on a grand larceny charge. He was released on a $2,500 bond.

No other information was available.
