Zolia Cornelius Oliver Jr. died Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2008, at his home in Water Valley. He was 61.

Born in Greenville, Miss., he was a former resident of Vicksburg and had lived in Water Valley since 1980. He was the son of the late Zolia Cornelius Oliver Sr. and Bernice Buchanan Oliver. He attended Camp Ground Baptist Church in Water Valley.

He was preceded in death by a son, Gary Gladwell; a sister, Bonnie Jean Spears; and two granddaughters, Roseann Gladwell and Brooke Gladwell.

He is survived by his wife, Lela Oliver of Water Valley; two daughters, Kaye Allen of Batesville and Bonnie Page of Senatobia; two sons, Jimmy Gladwell of Vicksburg and Edward Gladwell of Senatobia; one brother, Mark Oliver of Odessa, Texas; and nine granddaughters and six grandsons.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Riles Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Bob Conrad, pastor of Wilderness Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be at Riles Funeral Home from noon Saturday until the service.
