MADISON — Gloria M. King died Saturday, Sept. 20, 2008, at her daughter’s home in Madison. She was 63.
Mrs. King was born in Braxton and lived in Vicksburg for a number of years. For the past 10 years she lived in Florence. She was a homemaker and an upholsterer. She was a member of Parkway Pentecostal Church in Madison.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Ray King; parents, Johnnie W. and Fannie E. Myers; two brothers, Eugene Myers and Ernest Myers.
Survivors include her seven daughters, Jackie Matherne of LaVergne, Tenn., Belinda Clark of Madison, Vonda Soiuleau of Grand Prairie, La., Michelle Smith of Nashville, Amanda Turner of Canton and Mary E. King and Angela Miller, both of Brandon; one sister, Diane Veitch of Denham Springs, La.; 15 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Glenwood Funeral Home with the Revs. Jerry W. Dillon and G.R. Travis officiating. Burial will follow at Green Acres Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Bryce Clark, Henry Davis, Brett Ansley, Landon Ansley, Ray Turner, Donald Thomas, Ronnie Taylor and Elton Chatham.
