Jones, Freeman to marry

The engagement of Diara Kenyatta Jones to Jeremy Dewayne Freeman, both of Cedar Hill, Texas, is announced today. The wedding will be at 2 p.m. Nov. 29, 2008, at Travis Chapel A.M.E. Church of Vicksburg. A reception will follow at Kings Empowerment Center. All relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Miss Jones is the daughter of Cloria Jones of Vicksburg and Johnny Mack Jr. of Edwards. She is the granddaughter of the late Tommy J. Jones and the late Ethel B. Jones of Vicksburg.
Mr. Freeman is the son of Annie B. Freeman of Washington, D.C., and Larry Freeman Sr. of Vicksburg. He is the grandson of the late James Smith Reed Sr. and Hazel L. Reed of Redwood.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Warren Central High School, where she was a member of FTA, FBLA and the marching band.
She received a bachelor’s degree in finance from Jackson State University and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Houston.
Miss Jones is a staff accountant for Robert Half International.
The prospective groom is a graduate of Warren Central High School, where he was a member of FTA and the Big Blue Band.
He received an associate degree in mortuary science from East Mississippi Community College, where he served as treasurer of Sigma Phi Sigma funeral service.
Mr. Freeman is an inventory control supervisor for Valentino Inc. and is a funeral director/embalmer at Paradise Funeral Home.
