PATTISON — Persie Prater died Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2008, at River Region Medical Center in Vicksburg. She was 90.

Miss Prater was born in Jefferson County to the late Henry Prater and Elnora Jones.

She was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her parents, Miss Prater was preceded in death by a son, Joe Prater.

She is survived by two sons, Henry Prater of Chicago; Nathaniel Prater of Meridian; a daughter, Diane Robinson of Detroit; an aunt, cousins, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Services were to be at noon today at Philadelphia Baptist Church in Pattison with the Rev. Eddie Alsworth officiating. Burial was at Antioch Cemetery with Rollins Funeral Home of Port Gibson in charge.
