GLEN ALLAN — Edna Glenna Mayfield Kerr, 89, of Glen Allan, died Thursday, Nov. 13, 2008, at Washington Care Center in Greenville.

She was born Oct. 23, 1919, in McCool, Miss.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Vernon Kerr; her parents, Edward Clarence and Lillie Belle Strawbridge Mayfield; a sister, Artice Walters; and a brother, Elton L. Mayfield.

Survivors include two daughters, Patricia K. Mayfield and husband, Carlton, of Cleveland and Judy K. Cooper and husband, Robin, of Glen Allan; one son, Wayne Kerr of Greenville; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a sister, Juanita Skinner of Louisville, Ky.; and one brother, Edward C. Mayfield Jr. of McCool.

Visitation will be at 1 p.m. today at Lake Washington Baptist Church in Glen Allan with services beginning at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Jimmy McClendon officiating. Interment will follow at Greenfield Cemetery in Glen Allan.

Active pallbearers will be Phil Kerr, Donnie West, Rusty West, Wade Eubanks, Brad Heigle and Wayne Cooper.

Honorary pallbearers are Robin Cooper and Carlton Mayfield.

Glenwood Funeral Home of Rolling Fork is in charge of arrangements.
