ST. LOUIS — Services for Alonzo Britton will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Williams Funeral Service with the Rev. Kemp Burley officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be today from 1 until 6 p.m. and from 9 a.m. Tuesday until the service at the funeral home. Repass will be at Cedar Grove Chapel on Washington Street.

Mr. Britton died Oct. 19, 2008, at St. John’s Hospital in St. Louis. He was 56.

He was a retired custodian from the City of Vicksburg. He was a member of King David No. 1.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Annie M. Britton Davenport; his parents, Willie Lee Britton and Josephine Britton Cole.

Survivors include his son, Levi Bland; five daughters, Dominie Burkes, Ada Dorsey, Levader Bland, Alonda Calvin and Beverly Britton, all of St. Louis; three brothers, William Robinson of Vicksburg, Willie Smith and Raymond Britton, both of St. Louis; nine sisters, Mary Jones of Jackson, Gloria Hatchett, Annie M. Robinson, Shelia Green, Pauline Cole and Marcia Cole, all of Vicksburg, Nicey Shears, Dail Shears and Debra Shears, all of St. Louis; other relatives and friends including, Cythis Thomas, Jessie Thomas, Livania Thomas, Ymecka Thomas and Savanah Baker, all of St. Louis
