The Warren County-Vicksburg Public Library will host its second annual The Amazing Library Race Scavenger Hunt. The event is set for 2 p.m. June 17.
The scavenger hunt is modeled after the popular CBS television show “The Amazing Race” and will include questions and tasks designed to take participants to every area of the library. The timed competition is geared toward school-aged children, and prizes will be given to the individual or team members who finish first in their age group. The purpose of the event is to help familiarize children with the library.
“We had such a wonderful time last year that we decided to do it again,” says children’s librarian Deb Mitchell. “It is great because the children are learning things, and they do not even realize it.”
