E.P. Harrison

WAYNESBORO — E.P. “Pat” Harrison died Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2008, at Wayne General Hospital in Waynesboro. He was 96.

A native of Wayne County, Mr. Harrison was a public educator. He taught school in Alabama and Mississippi for 41 years and served as superintendent of education in Wayne County for four years. He was a member of Geneva Presbyterian Church in Matherville, Miss.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Maysel Odom Harrison.

He is survived by two sons, David Lee Harrison of Vicksburg and Kelly Harrison of Matherville; one daughter, Pat Reynolds of Starkville; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro with the Rev. Philip McRae officiating. Burial will follow at Matherville/Horne Cemetery in Wayne County. Visitation will be from 5 until 9 tonight at the funeral home.
